"Galante Scene Tapestry Louis XVI Period"
Interesting piece of tapestry representing a gallant scene from the Louis XVI period. Beautiful square format which features a couple at the small point in its center: Monsieur offers a flower to Madame... Rich decoration surrounding the two characters, foliage, various multicolored flowers on a navy blue background. A vase in the lower part in the center on which the initials: PSH and the date 1785 are embroidered. A fabric edging borders the tapestry. Numerous repairs visible on the back which have allowed this tapestry to stand the test of time, it nevertheless remains very homogeneous and very decorative. Delivery: €15 for mainland France.
