Renaissance style scent box in brown tortoiseshell and gilded bronzes. The interior is compartmentalized in fabric and braid to accommodate the 2 small bottles in cut crystal and gilded bronze frame, the lids feature miniatures decorated with bouquets of flowers. They kept their crystal stoppers. On one of the bottles, scratches at two angles. Signature under the base of MOREAU. The whole thing rests on 4 small ball feet. Parisian work from the Nap III period. Rare object which has been used and which remains full of charm.
