This oil on canvas, on its original frame, measures 35cm by 27cm. Its 17th century frame with inverted profile is decorated with reparure and has its period gilding (53cm by 45cm). Sold with a certificate of authenticity This portrait is that of a young boy with curly hair. He is dressed in pink and an ocher coat embroidered with gold thread. A stone surrounded by pearls holds the precious fabric like a fibula. The child holds his greyhound in his hands, wrapped in his coat. This painting bears witness to the tenderness this well-born boy has for his pet.
