Magnificent impressionist canvas from the 19th century. Seagulls following a sailboat returning from fishing. Pretty light, a superb sky announcing the storm. the touch is very typical of Alfred Casile. it also bears the painter's signature barely visible at the bottom left, clumsily and partly erased during cleaning. Small restorations in the sky. I attach, extract from the work of Gérald Schurr, the little masters of painting, the comment made on this artist. It is also referenced in the Bénézit, dictionary of painters and in a book on French landscapers of the 19th century. Dimensions without frame, 47 cm x 33 cm. With the frame, 59.5 cm x 47 cm.
