The frame is made of carved, openwork and gilded wood decorated with foliage, scrolls and fire pots decorated with four puttis in the four seasons, each with its attribute: a brazier for winter, a bunch of grapes and for autumn, a cornucopia for spring, a bundle of ears of wheat for summer.
In the lower part of the right side and left side we have two newts, one playing the horn, the other dressed in a turban looking at himself in the mirror. The pediment richly carved and decorated with scrolls and lace held by a putti seated on a circular mirror in its center Mercury mirrors.
Very good original condition, original gilding from Northern Italy, 18th century.
