"Dreamy Love "
Charming drawing in black chalk on paper prepared in the mid-18th century, representing a dreamy adolescent love, certainly inspired by the representations of Antinous, the favorite of the Emperor Hadrian, in a modest, almost collected attitude. The childish sweetness, the body barely out of adolescence, clearly refers to this model which continues to fascinate minds. A name, Figher, written in ink, with an old spelling, is unidentified. The drawing is currently sold in sheets.
