Canvas signed Caillaux representing a wheat field at harvest time and a few houses. Rodolphe Caillaux (1904-1989) is a French expressionist and lithography painter, known for his landscape paintings and portraits. He made his debut as a painter at the Salon des Indépendants in 1928, then entered the Salon d'Automne in 1932. As president of the Salon des Comparisons, he was named Knight of the Legion of Honor. His paintings are present in numerous public collections.
