A work of art, this imposing kerosene mechanism lamp with gold mythological scenes on a caramel medal patina background. Large in size and attributed to the expertise of Barbedienne, this piece circa 1850 (Napoleon III) is remarkable for its ornamentation and as much for its colors. Opulent and worked stoneware, this piece is not distorted and has retained its key mechanism at the base of the tank (integral). The swan's head handles have perfect graphics and detail with their carving and beautiful gilding. The red cherry marble base with golden claw feet is perfect on all sides; the ventu body of great summer and decorated on two sides on each side of the handles with a beautiful finish.
