" Beautiful Important Oil Lamp In Bronze Two Niii Patinas Attributed To Barbedienne Mechanism"
A work of art, this imposing kerosene mechanism lamp with gold mythological scenes on a caramel medal patina background. Large in size and attributed to the expertise of Barbedienne, this piece circa 1850 (Napoleon III) is remarkable for its ornamentation and as much for its colors. Opulent and worked stoneware, this piece is not distorted and has retained its key mechanism at the base of the tank (integral). The swan's head handles have perfect graphics and detail with their carving and beautiful gilding. The red cherry marble base with golden claw feet is perfect on all sides; the ventu body of great summer and decorated on two sides on each side of the handles with a beautiful finish. The mythological scenes as shown in the photos. Globe and glass intact. An exceptional and curious piece, rare for an enlightened amateur, a real piece of curiosity both in terms of its size and its decor
