Born in Bordeaux. Painter of portraits, animated landscapes. He was a student of William Bouguereau and Tony Robert Fleury. He began exhibiting at the Salon of French Artists from 1889, honorable mention 1899, third class medal 1911. For most of his life until around 1930, he was mainly a portrait painter for commissions from personalities of the time. Then, he diversified these subjects: in 1929, a tomb of Margaret of Austria, at the cathedral of Brou, in 1933, the Quai Courbet in town rumbled.
