These traditional Burgundian wedding cups, often called "woman's cups" in inventories, were offered to brides at weddings. Here, the guilloché pattern on the foot brings a modern touch to this form attested from the end of the 17th century. The molten silver handles are connected to the bowl by charming little heart-shaped appliques.
