Rare & Interesting 19th Century Pocket Knife Toilet Accessory: Tooth & Ear Pick. Empire Period?

Very rare toilet accessory in gold and mother-of-pearl dating from the beginning of the 19th century.

This small instrument takes the shape of a penknife. The handle is in mother-of-pearl decorated with gold pellets, the bolsters are also in gold.
It reveals two gold instruments pivoting on an axis and ending in a small hook. One is a toothpick, the second is an earpick. The ear pick spoon has been carefully treated with a rat tail on the back, a sign of quality and the care given by the craftsman to this object.

This toiletry accessory bears a hallmark that I have not identified "ti" (?) and has been 14k acid tested.

The absence of a hallmark does not make it possible to identify with certainty the provenance of this object but its function, its style and its small details such as the rat's tail of the ear pick allow it to be dated to the very beginning of the 19th century, in Europe, probably in France or England.

Superb little beauty tool, very rare in this two-tool “pocket knife” configuration, made from precious materials.
