"Charles Guérin Woman In A Park"
Painting on double-sided cardboard representing a woman in a park. Only one side is signed with the monogram Ch G by Charles Guérin (1875-1939). Charles Guérin studied at Gustave Moreau's school of fine arts in Paris, where he became friends with Georges d'Espagnat. He was one of the founding members of the Salon d'Automne in 1904 and exhibited at the Armory Show in 1913. After the war, he continued to exhibit in Parisian salons and taught for 20 years at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière then the Paris School of Fine Arts. The painting is framed in a molded and painted wooden frame and measures 41x 32 cm without frame.
