Beautiful wax sculpture representing the face of the writer Anatole France by the sculptor Gaston Deprez (1872 / 1941). This artist is well referenced and is among the sculptors exhibited in numerous museums including the Musée d.Orsay. Wax is his favorite material and he produced numerous portraits of his contemporaries such as Paul Verlaine. His Beethoven face is very famous. The head offered is old, very vigorous and in perfect condition. Beautiful old patina which gives superb relief and great power. Height . Approximately: 30cm.
