This statue of a dancer from the Art Deco period was created by Serge Zelikson and bears his signature. It is made of silvered bronze, it has a beautiful original silvering. Serge Zelikson (1890-1966) is a sculptor born in Polotsky (Russia). In 1912, he obtained a scholarship and went to Paris, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. Specializing in genre figures, groups, busts, bas-reliefs and contemporary figures. He exhibited his works at the Salon d'Automne, the Nationale, the Salon des Indépendants, in various Parisian Galleries and throughout France. The statue is in very good state of conservation.
