Giacomo Merculiano (Naples, September 29, 1859 – November 1935) was an Italian sculptor, medalist and illustrator. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts of Naples, where he first became known thanks to a stucco statue entitled Aspiration, exhibited at the Promoter of Naples. While Merculiano was also interested in painting, sculpture was his main output. In 1900 he was living in Paris, France, and signed his works Jacques Merculiano or J. Merculiano. He focused mainly on depictions of animals. He exhibited from 1914 at the Paris Salon.
