In the left corner, the seaside bustling with numerous boats. The scene is probably taken in Normandy. Oil on mahogany panel, the painting is presented in its very beautiful original channel frame in wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf. It is signed lower left LA Gerard. First half of the 19th century. Louis Auguste Gérard, landscape painter, wood engraver, and lithographer, born in Versailles on February 5, 1782, died in 1862.
