18th Century Pair Of Ornamental Cornucopia Friezes flag

Object description :

"18th Century Pair Of Ornamental Cornucopia Friezes "
This pair of ornamental friezes represents an example of Tuscan craftsmanship from the mid-18th century. Made entirely of pine wood, they were skilfully carved and subsequently gilded with colored gold and silver. The shape of these friezes is the cornucopia, an ancient symbol of abundance and wealth. The cornucopias are depicted with great detail and care, showing their curved and sinuous contours. Pomegranate flowers are carved inside the cornucopias, a symbol of fertility, prosperity and abundance.
