"Paperolles Reliquary Of The Ursulines - 18th Century"
It is very probably to the Ursulines that we owe this work of fervor, composition in gold-colored paper. A clearly visible Holy relic is enshrined in a medallion, at the level of the rolled paper representation of a reliquary base. The latter supports a large monstrance surrounded by two sacred vases bearing a lily. The whole in an architectural ensemble with two columns, arch and arabesques.
A modest wooden frame protects the whole thing. A French work from the very beginning of the 18th century whose dimensions are 30 cm by 24 wide. This reliquary in good condition cannot be sent by post, due to the traditional fragility of paper mountings.
