"Charles-guillaume Diehl 1811 - 1885 Furniture With Support Height, Napoleon III Period Signed"
Furniture at the height of an eventful support from the Napoleon III period, signed by Charles-Guillaume DIEHL (1811-1885).
Has double doors inlaid with brass on blackened pear wood with decorations in their center of Medici vases in flowers surrounded by volutes, laces, foliage and flowers. Its outline as well as the doors decorated with a rich gilded bronze trim, recessed white marble top, signed DIEHL PARIS 19 R MICHEL LE COMTE on the lock plate.

Condition: Very good condition, restored, varnished with a buffer.

Charles Guillaume settled in Paris at 3, Rue de Thorigny in 1840, then 170 Rue Saint Martin and finally 19 rue Michel-le Comte between 1853 and 1885. His workshops were located at 39, Rue Saint Sébastien, where he employed 600 workers in 1870.
He specialized in the manufacture of small furniture in the type of Boulle, rosewood, Thuya, fantasies with bronzes and porcelain, coffee table, work table and toilet table. He participated in numerous exhibitions of Industrial Arts in 1855, 1861, 1867 where he obtained various medials
