Large Fragmentary Christ, 14th Century
A 14th century Corpus Christi. The statue is missing arms and lower legs and is badly affected by woodworm, but despite the damage, or perhaps partly because of the damage, this statue has an extremely serene appearance. Made in France in the 14th century, it is an absolute work of art for the wall. The statue measures 66 cm high. The woodworm has disappeared, it is old damage.
