Burma, Bagan region, 18th century or earlier, very pretty gilded bronze statue with gold leaf representing standing Buddha, holding his monastic robe with both hands. According to the notes of the previous owner, a great lover of Burmese antiquities, this statue was originally buried under a temple and was discovered after the earthquake of 2016. Height 12.2 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
