Lovely Italian or Spanish 17th century style cabinet in walnut, ebony and tortoiseshell. It is made of solid walnut wood, walnut veneer, ebony and tortoiseshell veneer. Round pellets of walnut wood cut into standing timber decorate the whole. It opens with three drawers on each side and a central door revealing 4 drawers. The door is decorated with antique bronze columns and ornaments. A bronze gallery on top of the cabinet with bronze knights. Iron handles on the sides for easy transport. This delightful piece of furniture rests on a walnut table and wrought iron spacer. The locks work with their key, only the middle door does not have a key but it is opened by pulling it. We are in a very beautiful piece of furniture in the style of the 17th century but made at the beginning of the 19th century. The base seems later, perhaps towards the end of the 19th century.
