Biography

Guy Lefèvre is an artist best known for having worked for the French brand Maison Jansen, for which he designed furniture in the 1960s. He has also collaborated with brands such as Knoll, Steiner and Artifort.

His creations are characterized by a refined aesthetic, marked by the use of modern materials such as metal, glass and leather. In particular, he created armchairs and sofas with simple and elegant lines, which were very successful in the 1970s.

Guy Lefèvre has received numerous distinctions and prizes throughout his career, he is considered one of the greatest French designers of the second half of the 20th century.

Story

Maison Jansen is an interior design house based in Paris, France.

It was founded in 1880 by the Dutchman Jean-Henri Jansen. Maison Jansen is considered the first global design firm to have made its name a brand offering its services worldwide.
