"Terrace In Villefranche Sur Mer / Ecole De Nice"
A painter from the very beginning of the Nice school, LA BANY (whose dates of birth and death are generally accepted but not established) likes to paint Nice and its surroundings under bright lights and with a powerful material which prefigures the characteristics from the Côte d'Azur school of the 1930s. He participated in the Nice members' fair, and in particular in that of 1928 where he was noticed with his friends Madrigali and Firpo. Dazzling view of the harbor and the citadel of Villefranche, circa 1925. Original canvas, recent double frame of good quality on the sheet.
