"Joseph Canabas: Shuttered Table"
Small oval mahogany table. The flap top, retractable tapered legs. A leg pivots at each corner to support the shutters. Stamp of Joseph Gengenbach known as Canabas (1715-1797) and JME, cabinetmaker received master in 1766. Louis XVI period. Buffer varnish. Height 73.5 cm, width open 79 cm, closed 29 cm, depth 97 cm.
