"Asmat Eyeshadow Palette New Guinea - Oceania"
Makeup palette topped with a character probably a young warrior, he smoothes his lock of hair which joins a long hornbill beak. The oblong-shaped palette is masterfully sculpted decorated with symbolic motifs and covered with natural and original pigments. It is in excellent used condition. The interior of the receptacle shows traces of use. Dimensions: 80 x 14.5 cm Asmat New Guinea Oceania early 20th century Provenance: Acquired during a sale in Drouot in the 2000s.
