"Boomerang Desk - Art Deco - Circa 1940"
Exceptional modernist desk from the Art Deco period. This superb piece of furniture is reminiscent of the desk made by Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Janneret with its curved top and the wood used since it is ash, like the one made by the two designers. Our solid ash and veneer desk consists of a top resting on two rounded boxes at the rear, the front being made up of two large drawers for one and three drawers and a sliding top for the other. Each box rests on a slightly restful base forming a foot. The handles and key passages are made of chrome metal, the locks are from Fichet, a famous French locksmith specializing in the manufacture of safes. The piece is finished with a very beautiful French varnish. France Around 1940.
