Beautiful terracotta bust from the Friedrich Goldscheider factory from the art nouveau period. Girl with flowers. Polychrome terracotta It represents a bust of a woman with the head turned 3/4. Representation of an elegant young woman wearing a crown of leaves and chestnut trees, other leaves covering her chest. On this bust several patinas are present including a golden patina giving the illusion of gilded bronze. Magnificent realistic rendering, with its inclusions of floral ornaments typical of Art Nouveau taste. The work is signed Cherc. Cherc was employed by the Goldcheider factory from 1894 to 1914, where many models produced at that time bear his signature. The bust bears the stamp of the Goldscheider factory. Bears the numbers 2410 - 186 -32.
