Ivory Coast, Baoulé people, 1950s, very pretty and unusual ceremonial bell topped with a wooden statue representing a standing man, legs slightly bent, hands placed on either side of his stomach. A finely ridged headdress adorns the top of his head.
Total height 37 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
Good condition except for the missing bell clapper.
