"Drum Microscope By Hartnack, Circa 1860"
Very beautiful example of this classic from the production of Oberheauser, then of its successor Edmund Hartnack, a small drum microscope which screws onto its mahogany transport box. This model is signed on the tube: “E. Hartnack sugar by G. Oberhaeuser, Place Dauphine 21, Paris”. The serial number, engraved on the box, is 4332. The microscope can therefore be dated around 1860. The microscope is in perfect condition. He kept two eyepieces numbers 2 and 3 and his triplet of achromatic lenses. In addition, the microscope also preserved a forceps and three dissection instruments with ebony handles. The set is kept in its original wooden box: 23x10x6cm.
