Gilt bronze brooch by Line Vautrin. The obverse depicts Saint Nicholas, surmounted by the letters S N. A sculpted relief is also visible on the reverse with the inscription “Saint Nicolas”.Line Vautrin (1893-1983) is a French designer. She is recognized for her use of varied materials such as metal, pearls and shells. Her creations are often inspired by natural and floral motifs.
