Framed reliquary from the 19th Century containing the Holy Relic of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, virgin, with intact Episcopal Wax Seal holding the threads at the back.

St Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French Catholic Visitation nun and mystic who promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in its modern form.

Reliquary description

Wooden framed reliquary from the XIX Century. At the center of the reliquary, we can see a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ and just beneath, we can find the relic together with its name, resting on a purple silk background, all beautifully decorated by golden paperolle and floral motifs. Everything is safely protected by a glass

Measurements: 9cm x 7cm x 1cm

Good condition. Original intact Wax Seal holding the threads at the back ensuring the authenticity of the relic.
