"Pieta In Walnut - 17th Century"
At almost four hundred years old, our 17th century Virgin of Pity is made of walnut carved in the round. Formerly polychrome, this statue has undergone a major qualitative restoration with the complete repair of several elements, recognizable by the color of the wood. Wearing a veil and a loose dress with flowing folds falling to the ground, the Virgin has her face slightly bent over her son.
Our Christ, finally appeased after his Passion, is very expressive. Dimensions of 42 cm in height by 37 in width and 16 cm in depth.
Piece in good condition.
