"End Of The 18th Century Pair Of Alabaster Scent Burn Vases"
Elegant pair of neoclassical amphora vases in alabaster, finely double-handled and complete with lid. Originally conceived as incense burners, they feature perforated workmanship to diffuse delicate scents into the environment. The jars, treated with a special boil to make them whiter, are remarkably well preserved, suggesting that they were kept under a glass bell jar throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Their origin is attributed to Tuscan manufacturing at the end of the 18th century.
