Beautiful model of 19th century watch holder in Louis XV Regency style. In imitation of a table cartel, violin shape, applied gilded bronzes. High quality walnut marquetry and original stamp varnish. Circular opening with gilded bronze surround, dimensions at sight 5 cm. Decorative bronze on the facade featuring Cupid and Venus. Arched legs enhanced with delicately openwork and gilded bronzes. Top cover mounted on hinge to access the wooden receptacle intended for hanging a watch, small original brass hook. All the bronzes mainly retain their original gilding. Minor wear to the marquetry. Note: this model is the heritage of that of the early 18th century, the quality of execution remains very close. Delivery: €15 for mainland France.
