Provenance: Our study was offered to Charles Masson (1858-1930), (curator from 1896 then deputy from 1910 and chief curator from 1925 to 1929 of the Luxembourg Museum) by Gustave Cahen (1848-1928), executor of E.Boudin's estate who received, in 1904, the Charles Blanc prize from the Académie Française for his work "Eugène Boudin, his life his work".
