"Chalice And Its Paten In Silver, United Kingdom Circa 1880"
Neo-Gothic style chalice entirely in silver with engraved decoration of the IHS monogram surrounded by stylized flowers. It rests on a base with several ogees formed of six lobes, the stem is hexagonal equipped with a ribbed toric knot decorated with six diamond-shaped buttons decorated with four chiseled leaves. The cut is slightly conical, rounded at the base. The rim is engraved with an inscription in Latin. The interior is formerly gilded. This chalice has retained its original silver paten decorated with double threads, an inscription engraved in Latin, leaves and a Greek cross on the rim. In the center a depression in the shape of a six-leaf clover and the floral IHS monogram.
