The oil-painted cover depicting the Spasskaia Tower, titled and dated 1963 lower left, signed lower right. Light scratches from use under the bottom. Dimensions: 3.5 x 10 x 9 cm Notes: The Spasskaya Tower is the main entrance gate to the Kazan Kremlin and also to the Church of the Savior Nerukovtverni located in the southern part of the fortress walls. It was built in the 16th century under the direction of the Pskov architect Postnik Yakovlev nicknamed Barma. The tower has been rebuilt several times and has always received special attention due to the fact that it is the main tower of the Kremlin.
