"London 1770, Georgian Sugar Bowl, Sterling Silver, Samuel Taylor, George III"
Extremely rare covered sugar bowl in flamboyant rococo style with the hallmarks of the city of London for the year 1770 and the master goldsmith's hallmark of the famous Samuel Taylor. Although dating from the George III period, it is in an excellent state of preservation. Inside there remain significant traces of vermeil. Bowl and lid close tightly despite their great age. Both the bottom of the bowl and the inside of the lid bear very legible hallmarks. It weighs approximately 255 grams.
