He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists from 1865 and won several awards. In particular, he received more than fifteen awards during his participation in exhibitions in the provinces and even won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Sydney in 1879. From 1874 to 1903, he taught drawing at the school of fine arts of Marseille. During his lifetime, the artist bequeathed 19 large canvases and drawings to his hometown in exchange for a lifetime annuity for his wife. His works are currently visible at the Salon de Provence museum. His works are kept in different museums: Granet Museum in Aix en Provence, Draguignan Museum, Digne Museum, Salon and La Crau Museum, Tourcoing Museum, etc.
