"Choisy Earthenware Plates, Galante Scene Decor, 19th Century"
Suite of eight beautiful plates, a gallant scene decoration in the center and on the wing pots, scrolls and lyres. Manufacture de Choisy with the P&H Choisy brand debossed in the crest on the reverse of each piece. The production is between 1824 and 1836 for this set. The Choisy-Le-Roi factory was founded in 1805 by Valentin, Melchior and Nicolas Paillart, throughout the 19th century its production diversified and developed to the point of obtaining official awards during Universal Exhibitions. It closed its doors in 1934.
