Exceptional! Finally Carved Walnut Wedding Dated Foot Stove, Frisian 1788.
Decorated with the continuous motifs of calligraphy initial letters carved in the walnut.
twisted together for the occasion of a wedding day, with the date 1771-1777 and 1788.
One side with the continuous motif of twisted hearts.
The top with the motive of continuous twisted wedding rings.
The underside also very fine chip carved with ornaments.
Still with the original brass handle, all over in wonderful original used condition, with beautiful original patination.
Dutch 18th Century.
31cm high till top of handle, 17cm high, 21.5cm wide, 19cm deep.
