Object description :

"Monstrance Reliquary Of The Holy Cross – 19th Century"

19th century gilded brass monstrance, finely engraved and decorated with cherubs, the lunula of which has been replaced by a medallion reliquary. In the latter throne a small fragment of the Holy Cross, surrounded by a montage of flowers and golden threads. Height of 55 cm by 26 cm wide and 11 cm deep. Good condition - note a small tear at the back of the base.
