The Bronze Dancer By Geo Vindevogel

Rare small sculpture by sculptor and founder Geo Vindevogel. Start of activities: this family foundry appeared for the first time in 1913. Karel Vindevogel founded the company, later helped by his sons Achiel (1911-1984 or 1994) and Geo (1923-1977). Some of their creations can be found in Ghent. End of activities: the last known mention of this foundry dates from 1954. This foundry took the name Fonderie d'Art Vindevogel (SA) from 1923 then that of Vindevogel SA from 1932. The company signs “fonderie Vindevogel”, “bronz.Vindevogel”, “bronzg.Vindevogel”, “bronzg. Vindevogel gebroeders Zwijnaarde Gent”., “BRONS. VINDEVOGEL Zwijnaarde” Foundry in copper and bronze.
