DECORATION-DESIGN 50/60-NEOCLASSICISM VALET OF NIGHT MAISON JANSEN FRANCE CIRCA 1950 BRONZE WOOD BRASS Elegant valet in neo-classical style, from the famous and great Maison de decoration Jansen, from the 1950s, in bronze, wood and brass. Its circular base in solid gilded bronze, decorated with rosette, palmettes and pearls, is supported by four claw feet also in solid gilded bronze. The hanger, in stained wood, receives the grip in solid gilded bronze depicting a flower, inserted into it at the level of a plate of bronze palmettes. The central barrel, in gilded brass, is twisted and “U” shaped. The rod which holds dresses or pants ends at each end with a solid gilded bronze knob with palmettes and pearls.
