Born in 1903 and died in 1972, René Le Forestier is a French painter who lived in Concarneau, a town that he painted extensively. He also painted works in smaller, almost sketched formats representing still lifes. The numerous scenes of life that he depicted are valuable accounts of life in Brittany in the middle decades of the 20th century.
