Elegant pair of Louis XVI convertible armchairs in lacquered wood stamped Bonnemain accompanied by the jurande (JME). Pierre Antoine Bonnemain received Master in 1772, took over his father's workshop and, like him, dedicated himself to quality manufacturing while remaining classic. These seats are beautifully made, elegant and robust. Our pair of convertibles have medallion backrests receiving armrests with upholstered cuffs resting on recessed consoles, the seat with molded crosspieces and carved with flowers and foliage rests on four tapered, fluted legs.
Good condition, restorations from use and maintenance, beautiful patina of the lacquer previously reused, Traditional trim covered new with a velvet with a geometric pattern in light relief, in tones of gray on a coral pink background.
