Louis XVI Armchair Solid Walnut Partly Gilded Horsehair Floral Tapestry Circa 1890-1900

DECORATION-FURNITURE-ARMCHAIR FRANCE LOUIS XVI STYLE CIRCA 1890-1900 SOLID WALNUT-TAPESTRY-GILDING-HORSEHAIR Large Louis XVI armchair "1900" in carved and partially gilded solid walnut. The seat, the backrest and the armrests were reupholstered quite recently, with a floral fabric with stylized and geometric green and red patterns (some slight wear and minor marks). The back is square with a curved top, highlighted with a golden plant garland. Sculpted and partially gilded fluted spindle feet, topped with plant masks. Armrests carved with plant friezes with acanthus leaves at the base, as well as foliage/garlands and ribbons typical of the Louis XVI style at the top, also partially gilded.
