Japan -bronze - Pair Of Clusters - Meiji Period
Very pretty set of two representations of Japanese Amas in bronze with double brown patina. They stand on a rock scanning the sea and holding their working tool with their hair blowing in the wind. The patina is a bronze medallion color while that of the hair is different, more matte. Very good condition and very pretty patinas. Very good state. The Amas are Japanese or Korean free divers. They fish for abalone, shellfish or even octopus. This profession is ancestral. Period: Meiji era (1868 - 1912) Dimensions: Height: 34 and 35 cm: width: 15 cm.
