Atelier Menelika Hélène Amoudruz Charles Imbert (Geneva, 1924 – 1960). Their workshop reached its peak in the interwar period and made Geneva an extremely lively center of ceramics. No chips, cracks, or damage Hélène Imbert-Amoudruz (1894-1987) and her husband Charles lmbert (1899-1985) opened a ceramic workshop, in the city of Geneva, rue du Stand, under the name “Poterie d'art Menelika” from 1924/1960 At Menelika, the most beautiful earthenware is enhanced with animated scenes which poetically recount the favorite themes of the two creators, from lunches on the grass to exotic animals. Constantly revisited, whether in the pictorial style or in the palette of enamels, the same subjects are found throughout the workshop's production, in a style imbued with joyful naivety and lyricism full of charm.
